GDRS • Geospatial-to-As-Built Clarity

Controlled reference packages for field-to-as-built clarity.

GDRS helps infrastructure teams connect KMZ/GIS data, as-built drawings, stationing, field documentation, and closeout records into practical reference packages for authorized project users.

From field location to as-built reference.

GDRS is designed for projects where field records, maps, photos, redlines, and closeout files are spread across different systems. The workflow organizes approved project information so teams can find the right sheet, station, asset, and note faster.

1

Geospatial Reference

Build KMZ/KML or GIS-ready reference layers tied to route alignment, stationing, sheet references, and field assets.

2

As-Built Connection

Connect field pins and route features back to as-built pages, station ranges, redline status, and closeout support records.

3

Controlled Deliverables

Package authorized records for authorized users without replacing official GIS, 811, locates, survey, permitting, or owner records.

Before and after GDRS.

The value is not another map. The value is reducing the manual search-and-measure process between field reality and the records used for redlines and closeout.

Current Manual Workflow

Search, measure, cross-check.

  • 1Find a known HH or point that exists in both the KMZ and as-built.
  • 2Measure from the known point to the new repair, AP, HH, or field condition.
  • 3Open the as-built, find the same point, measure again, place the redline, calculate STA, and cross-check notes.
GDRS Workflow

Click, reference, confirm.

  • 1Open the GDRS reference layer and select the asset/location.
  • 2View station, sheet reference, field note, source record, and redline/closeout status.
  • 3Turn utility, bore, casing, or crossing layers on/off based on review needs.

Service areas.

Base Reference KMZ

Route alignment, stationing, as-built sheet references, and major project control points.

Utility Reference KMZ

Authorized utility, bore, casing, crossing, and depth/callout references where provided by project records.

Construction Record KMZ

HHs, repairs, assist pits, marker posts, reel/span references, field notes, and redline/closeout status.
